The Digs - Grandma's Kitchen
Owner Ray Luna purposely designed the shop as an homage to his grandmother—the matriarch who was a constant fixture in the kitchen. The aroma of her food wafted from the oven and filled the entire house, prompting the family to gather back in the kitchen as they sat and enjoyed a meal together. Mountain Province's homey decor, furniture, and overall ambience are all a throwback and a tribute to Grandma and her fierce yet warm spirit.
The Beans - Coffee Talk
Our pride is deeply rooted in the fair trade, single-origin organic coffee we've carefully sourced. Our beans are grown by farmers up in the Cordilleras of the Mountain Provinces in the Philippines. The raves we receive from our patrons over the quality of our drinks stem from the flavorful coffee beans that were grown in the uniquely cool climate provided by the mountains in the northern parts of this tropical country.
The Treats - Baked Goods
Breakfast with our elders brings back memories of bread and pastry eaten with or dunked in coffee. Our taro and purple yam bioche, cassava cake, coconut muffins, and pineapple scones are only some of the treats that we made to celebrate those memories. These are just some of the tasty baked goods we offer and that pair well with our coffee. We'd like to think our Filipino grandmothers would approve!
The Extras - Teas and Specials
If you don't feel like imbibing in coffee, we have a wide selection of teas that's sure to hit the spot. We also like to change things up a bit every now and then, so look out for our specials. Right now we have lunch offerings of soy braised pork with kimchee and watercress served with a side of cucumbers and green papaya slaw—our take on the ubiquitous Filipino Adobo dish.
The Peeps - Ray and the Gang
Filipinos and hospitality go hand in hand like coffee and...everything on our food menu! Our commitment to the utmost quality of service may begin with delivering you the best cup of coffee, but it extends all the way to making you feel right at home with our place and with us. Think of us as the unpretentious coffee connoisseur/mood music curator/old friend you must have met and became BFFs with in another lifetime.
